My Dream for this Convention:
If I’m going to Anime Boston as Reborn, I swear to god, if there is a Bianchi cosplayer, they better huggle me, feed me food and attach herself to me… And we’ll be the bestest friends.
I’m all for PC gaming, but…
I don’t believe there’s a best console or gaming medium, but if there’s one thing I hate more than anything:
You’re not real gamer if you play games on anything but a PC.
EXCUSE ME?!?? I have been playing games since I was three years old and beat my first game when I was four or five. I can’t fucking play PC games because I’d rather pay $200 dollars for a machine than $600+ to experience a similar library.
There are a lot of games I can’t play because my laptop is a piece of shit, but I manage. I recently played Don’t Starve and my shitty PC didn’t stop me from playing To The Moon.
I want to play more but I have limitations. I’m about to be a full time student, I make $8.30/hr, I live with my boyfriend, and I have bills to pay.. I can’t waste too much money on games and as much as I’d wanna be in an isolated bubble and play games the rest of my life, I can’t. Responsibilities come first…
Fuck off.
I see positives in all the mediums. All of them. They’ve have their pros and cons and it never bothers me if someone would rather play on a PC, but don’t say I’m not a gamer because I play games on a PS3, Vita, 360, ds, 3ds, Wii or Wii U. That’s NOT FAIR.
And don’t even get me started on how female gamers are treated… That’s a rant for another day.

It seems like, after reading article after article and seeing some of the stream, that they’re gonna buckle down to appeal to US audiences (assuming there is a market outside of the US???) and not only that, entertain to a family. That’s cool. A neat direction, especially to one who doesn’t own a smart TV. That’s nice and useful…
My biggest issue though, is it isn’t a video game console anymore. I wasn’t sold on the PS4, I’m still not, but at least they were basically said “Yeah, bluray, netflix, whatever, here are games because this is A VIDEO GAME CONSOLE.” I don’t care about entertainment that isn’t video games if I was watching this conference and most people who have a 360 now don’t play it or use it exclusively for Netflix, HBO or Amazon. NO ONE DOES AND NO ONE PLANS TO.
Not only that, pre owned games and games in general have to be installed? AND A FEE«« To play pre owned games? I understand the need to get rid of the used game market. The thing is though, why can’t there be a better solution? Why can’t we say, password protect games that are yours, so if your friend wants to borrow it, they enter the password and boom. Makes people who want to borrow games happy and makes gamestop sad. That’s not a foolproof plan, but I think it’s better than trashing pre owned games entirely. I do love pre owned because they’re generally cheaper and buying a console is a huge investment…
I’m not sold by the fact it’s now an entertainment system rather than an actually video gaming platform. I really think E3 will make or break Microsoft’s gaming market. I wasn’t impressed with anything because I didn’t see much but the ‘system’ which also looks like a VCR and the controller is sleek looking, but I’m going to have to touch it and play with it to make complaints, assuming I’ll have any… it’ll still probably be way to big for a female such as myself to reach the d-pad successfully… -.-
Also, creepy that it’s always watching you, knowing if you’re holding the controller or not… kinect, wtf. You weren’t a good idea then, now is no different. Voice Technology hasn’t solidified yet which makes this a heep of trouble.

FUCK THIS ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM.
If E3 goes well, I think there’s hope, but not much of it… I’ve never been a huge fan of Microsoft’s Xbox, but if they sell me on it, maybe in the future, but right now, everything they’re saying it can do, I don’t need or want and I have a Wii, PS3 and 360, none of that should matter…
I’m still rooting for nintendo, nostalgia and fangirlness, but sadly isn’t looking up for them realistically.
